This new standard lens is ideal for the 645D, which uses the latest optical system. Aspherical lenses, Aero Bright Coating, and other features are used to produce high level digital images. A round iris diaphragm (F2.8 to F5.6) is used to provide natural rendering of out-of-focus (bokeh) effect for point light sources in the background. The AF drive operation is smooth and based on a precise ultrasonic motor (SDM). The total length does not change during focusing to enable a superior holding balance. This lens has the same dust-resistant and drip-proof functions as the 645D body for enabling reliable shooting performance even under light rain and other adverse conditions. The Quick-Shift Focus System is used for enabling quick switching between AF and MF.
